Wine can be install Debian 7/6, Linux Mint 13/14/15/16 and absolutely Ubuntu 11.10/12.04/13.10
 
Well, How to install Wine 1.7 on Ubuntu 12.04?

1. Open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T)

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
Install Wine 1.7 For Ubuntu



sudo apt-get update
Install Wine 1.7 For Ubuntu



sudo apt-get install wine1.7
Install Wine 1.7 For Ubuntu



sudo apt-get install winetricks
Install Wine 1.7 For Ubuntu



2.  If install is successfully, you can get install program .exe like Windows.
For example, I would install notepad.exe

wine notepad.exe
Install Wine 1.7 For Ubuntu




If you are have successfully, youll get this on your screen

Install Wine 1.7 For Ubuntu
This is Notepad.exe

Now, you could install program of Windows on your Ubuntu.
